The Plandome Road project was a multidisciplinary effort to provide planning and design services for roadway improvements along a 1-mile segment of Plandome Road in Manhasset, Long Island. The project’s main objectives were to encourage non-motorized modes of transportation while ensuring safe routes to school, to facilitate a participatory planning process and to evelop context sensitive design solutions addressing conflicting uses of the public right-of-way.
