Interpretive Planning & Public Realm Strategy
Stonewall National Monument | Greenwich Village, NY | 2019–Present

Aspect 120 Landscape Architecture P.C., in collaboration with XDEA Architects, contributed to the Reimagining Report for the Stonewall National Monument—the first U.S. National Monument dedicated to LGBTQ+ rights and history.

The report addresses the complexities of interpreting a layered cultural narrative within a highly visible, urban public space. It offers recommendations for enhancing the visitor experience while maintaining the daily functionality of the surrounding neighborhood.

The design team engaged closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including local community organizations, elected officials, and the National Park Service, to ensure broad representation and input throughout the process.

The resulting document serves as a collaborative framework to guide future improvements, foster coordination across agencies, and support a shared vision for this nationally significant site.
